Community Season announces unique partnership between municipality and local sponsor

Community Season today announced a unique partnership between the Clinton, N.C., Recreation Department and regional business owner Mary Rogan of Mary Rogan Photography, St. Pauls, N.C.

In one of the first sponsorships of its kind, regional business owner Mary Rogan of Mary Rogan Photography has agreed to sponsor the Clinton Recreation Department’s new online registration site, powered by Community Season. The Clinton Recreation Department is adding Community Season’s web-based tool to help Clinton-area residents register online for classes, sports teams, leagues and other recreation services.

"We are really excited about offering this new service to our community," said Judi Nicholson, CPRP and CPO, director of the Clinton Recreation Department. "Community Season’s reasonable subscription pricing option has allowed Clinton to implement a full service solution immediately versus postponing it for approval for the next budget cycle. One of the added benefits of finding a sponsor to pay administrative costs for the system is that this additional service offering won’t impact our budget. As a result, our organization and community can start realizing the benefits of this system immediately."

The online registration site will launch with the Spring registration season beginning in February 2006 with baseball leagues, just two weeks after the sponsorship agreement was finalized.

The new web tool, developed by Community Season, a leader in web-based community management services, will allow Clinton’s 8,000 residents to easily register and pay for classes and activities from their home computers, and receive online confirmation and receipts. This new system also allows the Clinton Recreation Department to view account histories, track metrics, and pull reports, thereby decreasing administrative overhead and increasing resident satisfaction.

Judi Nicholson, added "We have looked at other Park and Recreation software over the past couple years to give our residents online registration but we just could not afford it. Community Season now allows us to have the same tools that much larger communities use. Not only will class registration be far more convenient for our residents, but Mary Rogan Photography’s sponsorship will save the community money. Mary is providing a valuable service to all the busy Clinton residents who want to sign up for classes for themselves or their children, while getting exposure for her photography business. It’s really a win-win for everyone."

Community Season also recognizes the value such sponsorships bring to municipalities and area businesses who want to reach this valuable market. "This is one of the first programs we know of where a sponsor has covered ongoing administrative costs versus a event or specific festival for a park and recreation group – a perfect way for small- to mid-size cities like Clinton to afford a service they may not normally consider and a great way for regional business to reach out to families to grow their own businesses," said Phil Sykes, Community Season CEO.
